This includes all kinds of Abuse/Violence:-
Physical
Sexual
Emotional
Within all kinds of close relationships it is a behavior that makes people feel confused, anxious, lonely, hurt. It can be any of the 1st two above types of abuse, or it could be threats, verbal or mental (mind games). It can come from a partner/former partner, friends, neighbor or even a family member, it can happen to anyone.
In 90% of domestic violence incidents the children are in the same or next room.
In 1995 there were 1000000 incidents of violence in England and Wales. This is equivalent to more than one incident every minute of every hour 24hrs a day 365 days a year.
